Arrival by car:
You approach the Grossarl valley by the Tauernautobahn A10 direction Salzburg or Villach. Exit the highway at Bischofshofen and stay on the Pinzgauer Bundesstraße (311) in direction St. Johann in Pongau. The Alpendorfstrasse forks in St.Johann into the Grossarl valley. After approximately 16 kilometers you will arrive in Grossarl, after another eight kilometers Hüttschlag. Please note the tips for arrival and parking.
Arrival by train:
You take the train from the St. Johann im Pongau train station. The public bus line (540) leaves directly from the train station parking lot in direction Hüttschlag-Stockham to Grossarl and Hüttschlag. With a written reservation confirmation, you will receive special prices for the bus ticket. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the St. Johann/Pongau train station to the Grossarltal.
Arrival by airplane:
You land at the Salzburg Airport (SZG). You can rent a car follow the arrival by car directions. You can take the bus line number 2 to the Salzburg Main Station and from there take the train to St. Johann in Pongau. Additionally, there is an airport transfer service to the Grossarl valley.
Taxi service:
